This policy explains what personal data Cherish (the "Service") collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Chat messages you send on Cherish are personal data, and we treat them that way.

Persona replies are generated by a large language model run by our AI infrastructure provider. To generate each reply, we send your recent conversation (and your profile context and conversation memory) to that provider. We use providers under terms that prohibit them from using this data to train their models. Your conversations are never shown to other users, and no human reads them in the ordinary course of operating the Service except where required for security, abuse investigation, or by law.
We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party ad tracking. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise deletion yourself in-app, and you can contact us for anything else at support@cherishchats.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
We don't use advertising cookies. The Service stores a sign-in token and small interface preferences (like read-message markers) in your browser's local storage; they stay on your device until you sign out or clear them.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS, and TLS to our database). Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Access to production data is limited to the operator of the Service. No system is perfectly secure — if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
Cherish is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn an account belongs to a minor we will delete it and its data.
If we materially change this policy we will post the update here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.
